Jill Kelner ND: Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine

photoDr. Jill Kelner, Naturopathic Doctor is honored and proud to be serving the Annex  Community in downtown Toronto  and the Greater Toronto Area.  Dr. Kelner earned her degree of Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine in 2000 from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Dr. Kelner began her career as Clinic Director at the Harbord Health Centre Naturopathic Clinic from 2000-2011. It is with an abundance of passion and joy that in 2011 she opened her dream healing centre, JAYA Integrative Health Centre.  Combining her unique and special emphasis of Naturopathic Medical care based in Mind-Body-Spirit Medicine with other disciplines offered at JAYA (including Osteopathy, Energy Medicine, Psychology, CranioSacral Therapy, Massage Therapy, etc.), Dr. Kelner provides a holistic and unique approach to illness, prevention, health care and wellness.

The word doctor means “teacher”. With that knowledge, Dr. Kelner strives to teach people how to thrive and evolve in their Body and Mind so they can most effectively reach their potential. She has a special interest in Women’s Health and Pediatric Wellness and Lyme Disease.  Dr. Kelner believes every person has personalized needs and must therefore be treated in his/her own unique way.  This belief fuels her approach of individualizing each patient’s therapeutic plan to correctly reflect each patient’s presenting health concerns and challenges.

To achieve the “wholeness” of the individual by combining Mind-Body-Spirit healing, Dr. Kelner specializes in Nutrition, Homeopathy, Herbal Medicine and Lifestyle Counselling. She lectures extensively around the city on varying topics such as Infant Nutrition, Autism, ADD, Allergies and Bowel Disorders.  As Dr. Kelner co-edited the book “Scientific Research into Breast Cancer”, she has expertise in the areas of Breast Cancer, Menopause, Infertility and Pregnancy and speaks in forums on these topics as well. Dr. Kelner has been featured on the television show Toronto Living (see YouTube for video).  Dr. Kelner also co-teaches at CCNM in the area of Health Psychology. To add to her broad skill set, Dr. Kelner was chosen to work abroad in Nepal to contribute in developing Naturopathic Outreach to remote hill tribe communities. For this work, she was awarded the President’s Award for Professional Courage.

Dr. Kelner is happily married to a Toronto Chiropractor and is the proud mom of three fantastic children.
